02 / Infrastructure

A network isn't a collection of switches. It's the foundation everything else depends on.

Design, build, upgrade, and manage servers, virtualization, networks, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and storage.

Overview

Every application, phone call, cloud service, and security control in your business runs on the network and the compute underneath it. When that layer is designed well, nobody notices it. When it has evolved by accident — a switch added here, a consumer router there, a server nobody remembers building — everything on top of it inherits the fragility. We design and build infrastructure on purpose: segmented networks, resilient links, properly sized servers, documented configurations, and monitoring that tells you what is happening before users do.

We work comfortably at both ends of the range. That might mean a clean single-office deployment with a business firewall, managed switching, and enterprise Wi-Fi. It might mean a multi-site organization with site-to-site VPN, VLAN design, redundant internet, a virtualization cluster on Proxmox or another hypervisor, shared storage, and a proper backup tier. Either way, the outcome is the same: an environment you can rely on, understand, and grow.

What you get

Outcomes, not a parts list.

  • 01

    Built to be understood

Every build ships with diagrams, addressing plans, and configuration documentation. You own the design, not just the hardware.

  • 02

    Segmented and secure by default

VLANs, firewall policy, and access control are part of the design — not something bolted on after an incident.

  • 03

    Sized for reality

Right-sized compute, storage, and bandwidth for the workload you actually run, with a clear path to expand.

  • 04

    Multi-site done properly

Consistent designs across locations, resilient site-to-site connectivity, and centralized management.

  • 05

    Fewer single points of failure

Redundant links, high-availability options, and recovery planning where the business justifies it.

  • 06

    Visibility

Monitoring across network, servers, and services so capacity and faults are visible long before they become outages.

What's included

Capabilities

The specific things we design, build, and manage under this service. If something you need isn't listed, ask — this is representative, not exhaustive.

  • Business firewalls and security policy
  • Enterprise Wi-Fi design and deployment
  • Site-to-site and remote-access VPN
  • Multi-site and branch networking

Questions

Common questions

Can you work with the equipment we already have?

Usually, yes. We start by assessing what's in place and what it can reasonably do. Sometimes the right answer is reconfiguring and documenting existing gear; sometimes specific pieces need to be replaced. We'll tell you which and why.

Do you recommend on-premises servers or cloud?

It depends on the workload. Plenty of businesses are best served by a hybrid: some services in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, some in a cloud provider, and some on a small, well-run virtualization host on site. We're not tied to a single answer.

We're opening another location. Where do we start?

With the network design. Addressing, VLANs, firewall, Wi-Fi, connectivity back to your main site, and phones should be planned before the drywall goes up. We can handle the design, procurement, and installation, and coordinate with your ISP and cabling contractor.

Do you provide ongoing management after the build?

Yes. Most infrastructure we build we also manage under a managed IT or infrastructure management agreement, but we're equally comfortable handing a documented environment over to your internal team.

Let's figure out what your technology needs.

Tell us what's going on — a project, a problem, or a general sense that things could be better. We'll give you a straight answer about what we'd do and whether we're the right fit.
