Need an engineer, architect, or IT leader for a project — without hiring one full-time?

Technology strategy, assessments, migrations, infrastructure projects, architecture, and specialized engineering.

Overview

Plenty of organizations have capable IT staff who are fully occupied keeping things running. When a significant project comes along — a network redesign, a server consolidation, a cloud or email migration, an office move, a backup overhaul, an AI initiative — there isn't the time or, sometimes, the specific expertise in-house. That's where we come in: senior engineering and architecture capacity you can bring in for a defined project, working alongside your team.

Consulting also means stepping back. A technology assessment gives leadership an honest picture of what's in place, what's at risk, what's costing too much, and what should happen next, in plain language. Vendor evaluations, roadmap planning, and fractional IT leadership help companies make good decisions without a full-time executive. We do the work, document it, and leave your team stronger than we found it.

Questions

Common questions

We have internal IT. Why would we bring in outside help?

For capacity, for specific expertise, or for an outside perspective. Most projects we take on for organizations with IT staff are ones the internal team simply doesn't have the hours for, or that involve technology they touch once every five years. We're there to make the project succeed, not to replace anyone.

What does a technology assessment include?

An inventory of infrastructure, network, cloud services, security controls, backups, and vendors; interviews with the people who depend on them; and a written report with findings, risks, and a prioritized set of recommendations with rough costs.

How are projects priced?

Most projects are scoped and quoted as a fixed price or a defined block of hours after an initial discovery conversation. Ongoing advisory work is typically a monthly retainer. We'll be transparent about which model fits.

Let's figure out what your technology needs.
