06 / AI & Automation

Where AI actually makes sense — and where it doesn't.

Use AI and automation to eliminate repetitive work, improve customer experience, and build capabilities you didn't have before.

Overview

AI is genuinely useful, and most of the hype is not. The useful part is specific: answering the phone when nobody can, drafting the routine documents, pulling data out of PDFs, answering internal questions from your own documentation, and connecting systems that used to require a person copying data between them. We help businesses find those specific places, then build the solution — including the infrastructure it runs on, the integrations it needs, and the security around it.

Because we build and run infrastructure, we can deploy AI in whatever way fits your requirements: hosted models from the major providers, private or locally hosted models when data can't leave your environment, or a mix. We've built production AI systems ourselves — BookLine AI, our AI voice answering platform for service businesses, is one example — so the advice you get is grounded in what it takes to run these systems reliably, not just demo them.

What you get

Outcomes, not a parts list.

  • 01

    Honest assessment

We'll tell you where AI will pay for itself, where plain automation is the better tool, and where neither is worth it yet.

  • 02

    Built on your systems

Solutions integrated with your phone system, CRM, documents, and workflows — not standalone toys.

  • 03

Private when it needs to be

Local and private model hosting for sensitive data, with the infrastructure to support it.

  • 04

    Automation first

Repetitive IT and business processes scripted, scheduled, and monitored so people can stop doing them by hand.

  • 05

    Run in production

Monitoring, logging, cost controls, and fallbacks — the unglamorous parts that make AI systems dependable.

Hear it for yourself

Our phone is answered by an AI we built. Call it.

Dial (630) 463-0620 and you’ll reach Jessica, the AI receptionist on Aquika’s own line. Ask what we do, or leave a message — it collects your details, confirms them back, and Matt gets the transcript in his inbox. It’s the same technology we deploy for clients.

Questions

Common questions

We want to "use AI" but don't know where. How do you start?

With your processes, not the technology. We look at where your people spend repetitive time, where customers wait, and where data moves by hand. From that we identify a small number of candidates, estimate the value, and recommend a first project that is likely to succeed.

Can we keep our data private?

Yes. Depending on requirements we can use providers with appropriate data terms, deploy models privately in a cloud you control, or run them on hardware in your environment. We'll match the deployment to your data sensitivity and budget.

Is this just chatbots?

No. Conversational assistants are one use case. Much of the value is in automation: extracting data from documents, routing and summarizing requests, connecting systems, and removing repetitive steps from workflows.

What does an AI project involve beyond the model?

Integration, data access, security, hosting, monitoring, and cost management. That's why it helps to work with a team that also builds infrastructure and manages systems — the model is usually the easy part.

Let's figure out what your technology needs.

Tell us what's going on — a project, a problem, or a general sense that things could be better. We'll give you a straight answer about what we'd do and whether we're the right fit.
